The Hill Climb at The Chateau Impney

The Summer Hill Climb at The Chateau Impney was held between the eighth and ninth of July this year. A day of racing, fantastic cars and something for everyone. The luxury Midland's hotel held over two hundred competitors and many spectators. From an architectural point of view, the French building stands proudly within the very British grounds. This year had the special edge, as it was the fiftieth anniversary since the original Chateau Impney speed trial in 1967.  The setting was breathtaking and the perfect place to leisurely enjoy the bustle. Find out more about a stay (here) or snippets of the Chateau's history.

Here's a sample of the tonnes of cars that turned up over the weekend. From classic Minis, Tesla's and my favourite (Maserati). Find more information on the cars and drivers (here).

A thrilling and enjoyable event filled with spins, crashes and high competition. Even if you aren't obsessed with cars, it's a place to enjoy the sunshine and the grounds. As a family, we had a wonderful trip with prosecco, the best wood fire pizza and Churchfield's local ice cream. If you're looking for something for the kids to enjoy, there's a vintage fun fair too!
